Scoring big on One Bite isn’t easy — but Uncle Jerry’s did it! Our Chicago Pan Style Pizza snagged an impressive 8.3 from Dave, and we’re still cheesin’ about it. 😜
This was our first time to Uncle Jerry’s. We are from the south side of Chicago but word of Uncle Jerry’s made its way down to us from a pizza review podcaster. Let’s just say we were not disappointed and will definitely make the long trek up to Cary to get this pizza again. We got half cheese, half pepperoni and sausage. It was so good! Crust is perfectly crisp and the sausage and pepperoni appeared and tasted like they were fresh and not store bought and cheap. We also ordered a small pepperoni and hot honey that we kept seeing everyone get and that was so good. We can see why it is a favorite. Sounds like an odd combo but it really works! They do not have any appetizers which I’m normally a person that likes wings with her pizza so I was slightly disappointed about that but it will not keep me from coming back! If you’ve never been and thinking of trying here definitely give it a try. Just go early if you want to dine in. It’s a small dining area and fills up very quick. Thank you Uncle Jerry’s, you have a couple new customers that will be back very soon!

The. Best. Pizza. Ever.
The menu is limited, but the options are packed with deliciousness!! This place is a bit of a drive for us, but well worth it!! If you're coming on a Friday or Saturday evening, expect to wait.
The atmosphere is a bit unique in that it resides in a deli/butcher shop. While full service, it's almost like diner style.

Amazing pizza and terrific service in downtown Cary. We heard all the hype and drove the 45 minutes from our house to check it out. Very limited menu (besides a house salad all they have is pizza) but it’s the pizza you go for. Only about a dozen tables inside (3 are high tops). It shares space with a butcher/deli and has a bar with another dozen stools but I don’t think you can eat at the bar. Also three picnic tables outside. Our server Melissa was great. Get the pepperoni it’s the best I’ve ever had. The GOAT was also terrific (goat cheese, spinach and garlic). So yum!

It's the best pizza I've ever had! No hyperbole. We had to wait a minute for a table because obviously everybody has the drop on this place. A couple of beers, some local, were a nice distraction. Once we were able to sit and enjoy the pizza ... it became my new favorite. The Sweet Sting is where it's at. Pepperoni drizzled with homemade habanero hot honey (sweet sting). We were able to talk to one of the owners, Nancy, and hear their story. What a great story and what great pizza!! Also, a great supporter of local firemen and firehouses! Please check them out! Local, family owned and employed!

Seriously undeniably great pizza. Everyone was nice even though it was super busy, but the pizza was different than other places and worth all of it. Will definitely return soon!

My Surprising Change of Heart About Deep Dish Pizza
I’ve always been on Team Thin Crust. That crunch, the lightness… The idea of thick, sauce-heavy pizza never appealed to me. The famous Deep Dish Pizza was never my thing—until now.
Lately, my husband and I have been trying pizzas from different places, and he insisted on giving this classic another shot. I went in with low expectations, but this experience completely changed my mind!
This time, we ordered the mushroom and sausage option. The tomatoes were fresh, and the sauce was perfectly balanced—not too acidic, not too sweet. The crust? Yes, it was thick, but surprisingly light, like well-made bread. The edges, which I usually leave behind, were crispy and delicious. For the first time, I ate every part of a Deep Dish Pizza—and I loved it!
The takeaway? Sometimes, the problem isn’t the dish itself but where you try it. If you’ve always disliked Deep Dish Pizza like I did, maybe you just haven’t had it at the right place. This was, without a doubt, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!
