Sometimes the best stories start with a craving. For Jerry Czerwinski — better known as Uncle Jerry — that craving was for the Chicago-style pizza he grew up on. Friday nights on the North Side meant family, laughter, and deep-dish perfection from Lou Malnati’s or Burt’s.

When Jerry and his wife, Nancy, moved to Cary, Illinois, they loved everything about their new town — except being an hour from their favorite pizza. So Jerry rolled up his sleeves, grabbed a 25-pound bag of flour, and got to work.

What started as a weekend experiment became an obsession. After years of tweaking and taste-testing with friends, Jerry perfected a recipe worthy of his Chicago roots — buttery crust, rich sauce, and all the flavor of home.

That’s how Uncle Jerry’s was born — a family-owned pizzeria built on love, tradition, and community.

Because at Uncle Jerry’s, pizza isn’t just food.

IT'S FAMILY. IT'S TRADITION. IT'S HOME.
